Unni Mukundan made
his acting debut in the Tamil version of Nandanam, Seedan (2011). (2002). After
appearing in several minor roles, Unni made his breakthrough as the lead in
Vysakh's action comedy Mallu Singh (2012). Later, he starred in several
Malayalam films, including the commercially popular KL 10 Patthu (2015), Style
(2016), and Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya (2016). Janatha Garage, his Telugu cinema
debut, was released in 2016. Achayans marked Unni Mukundan's debut as a
lyricist and singer. He has also promoted road safety by appearing in
advertising for the motor vehicle department.
Family
Unni Mukundan, an actor, was born into a Hindu home with
parents and a sister. Mukundan Nair is Unni Mukundan's father, and Roji
Mukundan is his mother. He is currently unmarried and single. Kartika is his

Early Life
Unni first appeared on the big screen in the 2011 Tamil
remake of the Malayalam film Nandanam, Seedan. Unni made her Malayalam cinema
debut in Babu Janardhanan's Bombay March 12, starring Mammootty. He was named
best newcomer at the SIIMA, Asianet Film Awards, Asiavision, Jaihind TV, Amrita
TV, and Vanitha Film Awards ceremonies on March 12 in Bombay. Kumar directed
the T. K. Rajeev Kumar film Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty, in which he played a
supporting role.
Vyshakh's directorial debut, Mallu Singh, was a breakthrough moment for Unni
(2012). The film was so popular that it remained in theatres for nearly a
hundred days. He made brief appearances in both Hitlist and Theevram. That same
year, he appeared in two films directed by B Unnikrishnan: Ezham Suryan and I
Love Me. His action moments were well received by the audience. He starred in
two films directed by M Padmakumar in 2013: Orissa and Ithu Pathiramanal. In
addition, he had a prominent part in D Company, a trilogy of independent action
films.
Career
Unni made his cinematic debut with the Tamil film Seedan, a
remake of the Malayalam classic Nandanam, in 2011. Unni made her Malayalam
cinema debut on March 12th, with Mammootty, in a film directed by Babu
Janardhanan. SIIMA, Asianet Film Awards, Asiavision, Jaihind TV, Amrita TV, and
Vanitha Film Awards all named him best newcomer for his performance in Bombay
on March 12. Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty, directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar, cast him
in a supporting role. Unni's turning point came from the film Mallu Singh
(2012), directed by Vyshakh. The film was a big success, running for more than
100 days. He appeared in the films Theevram and Hitlist as a cameo. In the same
year, he appeared in B Unnikrishnan's Ezham Suryan and I Love Me. His action
sequences received positive feedback from the crowd. In 2013, he appeared in M
Padmakumar's Ithu Pathiramanal and Orissa. He was also seen in D Company, an
anthology of three privately produced action flicks.

Qualification
On September 22, 1987, Malayali parents Mukundan Nair and
Roji Mukundan welcomed their first child, Unni Mukundan. Prajyoti Niketan
College in Pudukad awarded him a degree in journalism and English literature
(Thrissur). He grew up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In his early career, he worked
with Motif, which is now known as TTEC.
